They open the show by discussing the great racing that occurred over the Memorial Day holiday weekend in both the Indy 500, and Denny Hamlin’s victory in the World (aka “Coca-Cola”) 600, as well as revealing the back-room shenanigans that are going on in Virginia with the General Assembly trying to pass a budget that includes an (previously unheard of) attempt to protect big-time out of state gambling interests at the expense of Virginia small business owners like Hermie. The guys expose for all to see the efforts a very few in state government to radically change the Virginia State Code through budget language, and to actively interfere with Sadler’s successful (and still pending) court case. Hermie and the Senator pull back the curtain on an otherwise secretive legislative budget-writing process that is controlled by those privileged few legislators who continue to impose their will and agenda against the majority of the other duly-elected members of the Virginia legislature. And, Sadler and Stanley together outline how they will continue to stand up against this unconstitutional attack against Virginia small businesses, and will continue their fight against government overreach — not only because it is the right thing to do, but also because they believe that vigilance is the eternal price of liberty, victory and justice.
In yet another compelling episode, Hermie and Senator Stanley continue to take on the important current issues in both racing and politics.
